Use Caution When Hiring a Thermal Drone Operator for Your Lost Dog

Updated: Jul 25

ree

A thermal drone may be used to search for your dog. Thermal drone searches are most successful if you are able to quickly work off of a sighting, or have an elderly or frail dog that may have gotten stuck on rough terrain.

Ensure that the thermal drone operator is licensed, local with references, has experience searching for lost dogs, and uses a quiet drone that will be less likely to scare a dog that is in flight mode.

Use caution to weed out scammers. Remember to temper expectations as thermal drone searches are often not the quick solution that owners are hoping that they will be.
